On this page I will list some different bottles I have other than Ball fruit jars so check these out...

This is a 4 gallon mason made by the Libby Glass Company in 1975 for the Bicentennial year. A beautiful Cornflower blue color these also came in clear, amber, & aqua.

A view of the backside with large eagle

Not a jar but an old beer can I found in an old abandoned log cabin up in the mountain's. I believe I found this about 20 years ago when I was hiking in the mountain's looking for trashpiles. I ran across this old log cabin went inside and up the stair's and there it was laying on the floor. It is in excellent condition and a pretty cool can. Rams Head Ale

This is a gorgeous colored Lightning fruit jar. Quart sized and Cornflower blue it really stands out among other blue jars sitting side by side. This is a smooth lip version. Redbook #1501

This fruit jar is an early example of a reproduction. Made in Tennessee circa:1971 it is 1/2 gallon in size and a deep black purple color that is hard to see through unless you hold it to the bright sunlight. Features of these jars are rounded shoulders, unlettered cross on the reverse, ground lip, and with or without a number on the base. Many people try to sell these as original jars which would bring thousands but advanced collector's will know it isn't genuine. Still it is a very nice jar compared to the crap that comes out of china recently in the repro line. These are looked upon as quality hand blown jars for the collection. after all they are 30 years old now and somewhat hard to run across. They also exist in several other colors such as amber, cobalt blue, green,  & milk glass. So if you see one with these features don't pay a fortune for it but do buy if it is a good deal because they are nice jars...

  Cross on obverse...   Base embossing

This jar has a rich deep blue color to it and sparkles. "Kerr Self sealing mason Patented" Color is like an Indigo blue and really stands out. I have a letter from Alex Kerr stating that this color was a mistake and the jars should have been green but a wrong chemical was added to the glass and they turned out as you see here. Again not a Ball jar but I couldn't pass this one up for the color...

These 2 bottles here are pretty cool. The whiskey on the left is a nice orange amber with an applied top. Embossed on the front looks like an Indian with a star wandholding a shield standing on a crescent moon. "TRADE MARK REGISTERED NETTER BROS PHILA. Pa." On the obverse is "GOLDEN GATE ALL RYE WHISKEY" I don't know anything about this bottle at all but it is pretty unique I believe. Aside from a little stain it is almost mint condition with no chips or cracks. The bottle to the right of it would really be sweet if it were embossed. Brilliant yellow amber with an applied top. Maybe this was a bitters bottle or something??? If anyone knows anything about either one of these please send me an e-mail and tell me what you know.

This is listed as rare in some coke/pepsi book I was looking at. It is an early straight sided Pepsi Cola from Brunswick Maryland. I need to get this tumbled so it will shine as it has a bit of haze inside. Glass is in great shape and also has a little amber streak in the top crown. My Uncle dug this bottle many years ago and has given it to me to add in my collection. He has found many things over the years and now mostly is into civil war relics. I could make a whole nother website with the stuff he has. Anyway I'm going to list a few old Coke bottles after this one so stay tuned...

This is an old applied top amber Anheuser Busch bottle in a reddish amber. It has S.B. & G. Co. embossed on the base and Washington D.C. around the lower front. Has the old eagle logo embossed on the shoulder inside the "A". Pretty neat early bud bottle...
