| On this page I will show old jar ring boxes, zinc lid boxes, advertising material and other Ball stuff. Some of these are in my collection and some not. Items that have an * by them are owned by a fellow Ball collector John Patterson. John has some really neat and rare Ball item's that I'm happy to put on my page. I will be adding more from time to time as I get them... |
This is an early box full of lids in great shape. 1 dozen Ball Vacu-Seals
Complete For Sealing Mason Jars. This is the only box I have found like this and
it's a good one. Ball started using these 2 piece lids from 1936-1943.
*0- This is a really neat pamphlet advertising the Ball Perfection jar. The
jar's were only made in 1914 and this has to be as scarce if not more. One
really odd thing you will also notice is this jar is showing 1 patent date
embossed on the front of the jar. No jars of this variety have ever been found
or known to exist. A very interesting piece of paper indeed.
*1- This has got to be a super rare advertising folder and has wonderful
graphic's. The Ball PAT APL'D FOR jar was only made for around 1 year in the
late 1890's and this is a really neat folder advertising the jar. Great Ball go
with.
*2- This is an old box that had Ball Eclipse glass lid's inside. Looks to be
from the 1930's. You can see on one side it is advertising about the Owen's
machine that was the marvel of glassmaking. Notice it also has 35 written on one
side. I guess they were .35 cents apiece? I guess back then it could have been
for the whole box. Anyway it is a nice go with for a collector to add something
different to the collection.
*3- This is also an early box for the Ball zinc lids. This also appears to be
from the 1930's from the script on the jar.
This side features a Ball Ideal & a Perfect mason boasting as the best known
and most popular jar produced. Of course the Ideal was also a top seller
beginning in the teen's and running till the 1960's.
Will be updating more as soon as I take some pictures so check back
